Sei Development Foundation Appoints Jamie Finn as Strategic Advisor

The Sei Development Foundation which works to develop the Sei blockchain ecosystem, has appointed fintech entrepreneur Jamie Finn as a strategic advisor. On May 20, 2025, the announcement was made.

Securitize co-founder Jamie Finn has extensive knowledge in blockchain, real-world assets and digital finance. The leadership role he fills is crucial for shaping how Sei’s RWA works and for helping institutions accept tokenized assets.

“Jamie is skilled in both technology and real-world experience in connecting traditional finance with blockchain,” added Justin Barlow, Executive Director of the Sei Development Foundation. We are excited to benefit from his advice as we build the Sei network in the real world.

Finn’s advice will mainly help with growing the use of real-world assets on the Sei blockchain. He will also back initiatives to establish important alliances that help the network become more useful and accessible.

In his view, Sei’s speed and developer-friendly process help ensure that tokenized RWA projects can work well and comply with rules. I am pleased to contribute to the Foundation’s efforts to link capital markets and encourage lasting use of the technology.

The Sei team has just released another major update: the unveiling of the Sei Giga whitepaper. Cosmos-based transactions and smart contracts are no longer the main feature, as Giga introducing a multi-proposer EVM architecture on May 19. Sei’s performance should rise by more than 50 times thanks to this innovation.

Since its launch in 2023, the Sei mainnet has processed billions of dollars worth of transactions.
